Mid Taipo hut
An ex NZFS hut that was built in 1973. In the 70's it was known as "New Mid Taipo" because there was another hut across the river and slightly upstream. The "Old Hut" has been removed.
Mid Taipo hut as the name suggests is located in the middle reaches of the Taipo River valley. It is on the TL about 400 metres above Hura Creek. The Julia huts are upstream & the Dillon huts downstream.
