This hut is about half way along the Tataweka Stream which is unfortunately buddleih filled drain.
The hut has been restored to NZFS specs and is recorded as a historic place

Getting there

From Tawa Hut the junction of the Kahunui and Tataweka is about 1km down stream. There is no track up the Tataweka, just follow the stream. The hut isn't visible from the stream and was only marked by pieces of ribbon tied to the scrub as you go by. |
