Bluff Hut
Ex NZFS 4 person hut. Neglected by DoC and soon to be relocated to confluence of Steadman Creek/Hokitika River after February, 2009. This means the Bluff swingbridge will be reinstalled as well and the approach tracks to the current hutsite will be recut to enable a maintained circuit.
The water supply is currently an unconnected pipe from guttering hopefully allowing water to flow into a 20 litre plastic container. 3 billies have also been left out on the former water tank platform to allow rain water to fill them.
There is a good outside fireplace by the door. The toilet is situated over a deep rock crevass. There are great views to be had.
