Te Rereatukahia Hut
Kaimai-Mamaku Forest Park
A fairly standard hut showing its years, high up in the Kaimai Mamaku's. A fairly decent view to the southwest over the Hauraki Plains.
The hut has recently been upgraded with a new woodburner, please conserve the firewood, you dont need much to keep the hut warm! It costs roughly $10 per night for the firewood that has been funded by locals and with the help of crowdfunding. As a condition of having the woodburner installed, the community is taking the responsibility of delivering firewood by chopper.
You can get cellphone signal, albeit weak outside on the south end of the terrace.
