A dry and sheltered bivvy underneath a giant boulder in the north branch of the Routeburn. Sleeps 4 or 5 but with only about half a metre of clearance underneath its crawling room only.

There's a stream bed right beside the biv but that was quite dry in early Feb. Possibly holds water at other times in the year but otherwise the nearest water is from the river a couple of hundred metres away.

From Routeburn Flats hut its 1.5h up the north branch of the routeburn, or about 3.5 hours from the Routeburn Shelter carpark.
