Excellent spot but a long slog up the Waimakariri. Our (unhurried) times were 3h to Carrington both ways, and 4h in/3 out to Barker. Easy walk behind the hut up to the ridge by White Col, about 1h. We took the same route Honora and Frank mention over the spur. The cairns were low down by a very unlikely looking gorge. | |
