30 Apr 2016 | I visit this forest regularly on foot or on MTB (need permit if on the bike). It's a fantastic place to visit with well marked tracks in good condition. Wooded Gully Track has some fascinating stands of very mature Totora scattered amongst the beech. | |

23 Dec 2012 | Great track up to the trig (via Ridge Track). Descent down Summit Track included going down through a pine plantation which was steep. Nice little stream at the bottom to cool off hot feet. Mountain biked through the forest roads on another occasion up to the same beacon. |
