First trip here to introduce a friend to an easy overnight tramp. Arrived at 3pm on Saturday afternoon to find 22 people in the 16 bunk hut with a handful of tents outside too. Gotta get there early if you want a bunk. I'm wondering if it's always been this busy, or closure of the Waitaks has increased pressure on these huts?
