NewTopo maps
Has anyone else had problems with the durability of these maps?
I recently purchased the double sided A3 sized Travers-Sabine one and it started to fall apart even before the trip!

thanks for your replies everyone and like you all I use the topomap 1:50 000 series or get a map printed off at warehouse stationary or similar off a computor file onto good paper.
My post was simply intended to identify how many others have issues with the NewTopo maps because they SAY that they have had few complaints. Strangely they also say that the paper is NOT a map paper but produces a very nice looking map! Maybe good for framing and hanging on the wall!
I have the Tararua map from these guys and it seems ok but I only carry it as backup and print off the required map area from http://www.topomap.co.nz/ This allows me to have the route on one page without unfolding. The entire map is for when things dont go to plan.
