Good 40-50L lightweight pack.
I'm looking for a new tramping pack thats between 40L-50L. Lighter weight is more a consideration for me than durability although I do want something than can take a reasonable beating. I've had a good look at what Macpac has to offer, mainly because I work there, and I'm leaning towards the Torlesse 50. However it's still quite heavy and I was wondering if anybody had any other recommendations?

Here's a review for the Exped Lightening 45 mentioned above in nzbazza and bradley1's posts. It is dyneema fabric which is what the GoLite was and is pretty light - 1lb, 3 oz which sounds around 650g I think.

I recently purchased an Exped Lightning 60 pack for my upcoming trip to Peru. It weighs 1.1 kg. Has a huge storage capacity and the frame is awesome.
Osprey Atmos 50 is a really good light pack, but still has a number of useful features. I have had mine for a few years and it's still going strong. Great for up to 3 day trips. I believe the Osprey Exos is also a good option.
@Honora - that link works for me every time (iPad with Chrome browser app). Not sure what the issue is there!
Actually none of my backpacker links are working. Maybe they want me to get a subscription!
