Body of tramper found, Nelson Lakes

"Sunday, 15 July 2018 - 11:17am Tasman Police have located the body of a tramper in Nelson Lakes National Park. A search and rescue operation was launched yesterday after the man failed to return from a solo tramping trip on Friday, as planned. His body was located about 9.30am today in the Mt Robert Range area and is due to be airlifted out shortly. Stuff refers to him as a ‘tourist tramper’ in their article. I wonder if he had adequate gear as it talks about a fall from a ridge - presumably ice will have played a role but I wonder if he had crampons/axe and the knowledge to use them.
His name was published 6 days ago. He was a Chinese Malaysian. They still don't know if he fell or just wandered off the ridge. Either scenarios are possible in bad weather, that's for sure.
