I am a programming Tutor in the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic, started tramping in the UK in the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. I love New Zealand and do most of my tramping in the Kaimai range near Tauranga. Have done the AMC on Egmont, Lake Waikaramoana, Tongariro crossing, Mt Jumbo Tararuas. Have been the entire length of the Kaimais on the North South track as well as on some of the unmaintained tracks through Cashmores clearing and to Wahine rock. Have a healthy regard for the both the pleasures and the dangers of the bush, which I might add include feral bulls in the Kaimais...totally lethal
