Hi there , Im jamie a from west yorkshire in the UK, have been over here for a few years now and have been to the top of the country right to the very bottom, Im a real keen armchair mountaineer but would love to put it into reality but havent had the chance, i do lots of 5-10 hour walks with some easy climbing and a few risks .. but have had no incident to date and feel i need to get up high in the mountains for the real challenges, so here i am looking for anyone who can give me tips/clubs/ to show me a direction ect ... im in the process of buying gear mainly suited for ice and snow climbing and hope to takle taranaki or mt ruhapeau first. i have no idea what im getting myself into but am sure it will be fun ... peace out jamie
