Male, 42, Irish. Starting Dusky Track on Monday Feb 11th 2013 at Hauroko. Skipping side trip to Supper Cove. Weather permitting intend finishing on Friday 15th at Manapouri. Intention to get to Lake Roe on first day then one hut per day thereafter, adapting itinerary as conditions dictate. Interested in experienced partner(s) for the trip. Not tramped in NZ before, but have backpacked extensively in a variety of others - USA, Spain, Morocco, Greece, Australia (Tasmania), Ireland, UK... Generally travel light for about 10 hours a day. Obviously prefer good weather, but am safe / comfortable traveling in bad (weighing associated risks appropriately).
