Currently at university in Dunedin, I did a few tramps when I was a teenager and enjoyed them, but all my tramping friends either live far away or can't do overnighters due to small children, so I'm trying to improve my fitness before I join a tramping club here. I try to get out most weekends to do a daywalk though, and enjoying exploring the area.
