To save Thunderbird emails, use the add-on. Launch Thunderbird, then make the ImportExportTools NG add-on work properly. Restart Thunderbird after installing the plugin. Next, right-click on the folder you wish to backup (for example, Inbox). To save Thunderbird emails to your hard drive in EML format, choose ImportExportTools NG, Export Folder, and EML Format. Choose a location for the files, then click Select Folder. After finishing the process, your emails will be stored as a backup on your external hard disc. At any time in the future, you may now open these files directly in Mozilla Thunderbird. Suggested solution: Shoviv | IMAP Backup tool | Gmail Backup tool
