Yeah, in Greymouth this summer just gone, the way people spoke, you'd swear 10 year olds in town had never seen rain.
I just laughed!
Ive only been to Greymouth once and it stayed fine just long enough for us to dry sleeping bags etc after the previous night in Hast The guy at the Hast camping ground did mention that it was the 56th consecutive weekend of rain.
Thankfully, New Zealand really has absolutely zero idea of what a drought is.
That's a good thing. It's why people at first laugh, then when they realise I'm serious, look at me like I'm some kind of crazy when I tell them I moved from Australia to the West Coast for the weather. :)
Back when I was at school we were shown a documentary of some place in the outback. They had a 6 year old kid who had never seen rain.
I could never live there I dont like it when it gets hot even to Wellington standards. That means 23 24 and Im starting to suffer
Me too. Another reason I moved here.
Just back from a 12 day road trip around the SE corner of VIC and NSW.
Plus a drive over the Snowy Mountains. A really attractive area.

Looks like a bit more than 3 days worth however.
