Otaki Forks Access

The road access to Otaki Forks is closed and will probably be out of action for up to 6 weeks. The ongoing problems at the Blue Slip have become worse with a major dropout below the road that has eaten into the road surface. Repairs may involve blasting material away above the road to enable the road surface to be moved closer in to the hill face. At this stage there will be some pedestrian access past the slip but it will add a 3km road walk to get to the start of the tracks
