North Island Winter Tramps

Hey team, what are a few of your favourite North Island winter tramps? We've knocked out all the major mountain routes and more recently Mt Holdsworth, so looking for something not so well known. Thanks in advance!

What do you mean when you say major mountain route?

All the North Island biggies; Egmont, Ruapehu, Tongariro

Girdlestone is a good one, south face for beginners. Then if you feel confident wander around to Whakapapa and have a look at the pinnacles. Then maybe if you haven't already, East Ridge of Taranaki, finish direct on sharks tooth. cheers

The circuit through Longview,Howletts and Daphne huts in the Ruahines is a good one.
