I'm 40+ guy from Sydney.

Northern Circuit will be my first tramp in NZ.

I've done a lot of hiking in the last 2 years - Blue Mountains, sections of Bibbulmun Track (South WA), SW Tasmania, and 11 days on John Muir Trail in Sierra Nevada.

Used to carrying tent and cooking gear - so the "hut thing" will be a new experience.
