I'm a 38 year old woman living in Auckland. I would be keen to stay in contact regarding tramping in NZ during the time you mention. Like you when it comes to harder trips I prefer not to go alone. Am pretty fit at the moment having just done a 14 day trek across Corsica and getting ready to go to Nepal in October.
I hope you are enjoying Perth (it's my home town) - the Bibbulmun Track has a lot of pretty sections but is not 'intensive' though! regards, Terri-Ann
