terrible huts

I guess that this would be the Atiwhakatu track to the new hut.Tracks and Structures are graded according to user group as set out in NZ Standards -handbook -SNZ HB 8630:2004 1 Urban Resident(UR)not used by DOC (yet) 2 Short Stop Traveller(SST) 3 Day Visitor(DV) 4 Back Country Comfort Seeker(BCC) 5 Backcountry Adventurers (BCA) 6 Remoteness Seekers(RS) The Atiwhakatu track is classed as a DV track and the standards say "windfalls must be cleared within 14 days of notification..." I dont know of any SST tracks in the Wairarapa, but they must be cleared within 48hrs of notification.
