Candlesticks Bivvy
Arthur's Pass National Park
S86 Biv constructed about 1958 in the headwaters of Bull Creek. In 2016 volunteers from Malvern Branch NZDA repaired, sealed and repainted this biv. A toilet has been supplied and installed and woodshed constructed. Funds to achieve this were provided by the Outdoor Recreation Consortium

Up Bull Creek from Bull Creek Hut. In high water climb the face directly opposite Bull Creek hut and sidle above the gorge until the tracks lead you down to Bull Creek where the gorge opens again. The second gorge must be skirted in high water also but return to the creek bed after and only leave it when you have the biv in sight on the true right. |
