This circuit sets off from the Potts River Bridge past Lake Clearwater and climbs onto a broad glacial moraine between Mount Potts and the Dogs Range. From the bridge, a track follows the true left bank of the river for several kilometres to a junction. Continuing upriver, the track climbs gradually before moving away from the river and over to Mystery Lake, at the foot of the Dogs Range. From here, the track follows the range to the foot of Mount Guy, bending right toward Lake Clearwater, and looping back to the junction.
