I like these tourist-unfriendly signs...hope the new Crown-Tuhoe treaty settlement doesn't change the charm of Te Urewera ...though sure would be helpful not to have to do so much bush-bashing along some routes.

  • pmcke pmcke I think Urewera National Park is the most neglected place on the DOC estate as far as recreation is concerned. Most of the signs are of this vintage and condition. The new Tuhoe regime will hardly be able to do worse.
