Pool Hut
St James Conservation Area
Stucco (roughcast) and partially lined hut taken over by DoC as part of their stewardship of the St James Conservation Area. Unfortunately, they have removed the stove so no heating. Had renovations commenced in April, 2018 with installation of bunks, bench, cupboards installed. Hut lining partially removed awaiting replacement with plywood sheets stacked outside against the hut. Deck and water tank installed. Rats currently in residence.

Getting there
|
Pool Hut is located on the St James Cycle Trail, accessed via Charlies Saddle, Fowler Pass, or Maling Pass from Tophouse Road. Tracks also connect with the St James Walkway. Currently the McArthur bridge has been removed due to damage ? from the July flooding. |
