Happy Daze 1.5hrs. River route Awatere hut 3hrs - River route Longview hut 3.5 to 4 hrs. Direct (marked) track to ridge crosses sidestream below hut and can be impassible after heavy rain. Alternative old, abandoned track up ridge behind hut has no stream crossings but is getting overgrown. Apiti Track: 1.5-3 hrs. The track down the spur 800m east of pt855 is still marked & cut, despite being dropped from the latest topomaps. From spur down river to hut unmarked/uncut but easy in most flows |
