Homer Hut
Fiordland National Park
Well-equipped NZAC hut located in the Gertrude Valley east of the Homer Tunnel. This hut is most popular with climbers exploring the Darran Mountains. A warden is resident in summer months, and will collect hut fees - see the NZAC site for current fees. The hut has lighting, gas cookers, and a variety of cookware available for hut users.

Road access from the Milford Te Anau Road at Homer Forks (look for the Gertrude Valley sign). There is a car park by the hut which may require a river ford. There is also a car park on the road side of the fork a few minutes' walk from the hut. |
