Gerhardt Spur biv
An early/mid 1970's era NZFS biv located in the tussock high on Gerhardt Spur which is on the western side of the Diedrich Range. This biv replaced another biv, now defunct, that was a bit lower down the spur.

1/Walk up Diedrich Creek from the road bridge.(It is just before the Hokitika Gorge) A track, recently re cut by volunteers, leaves Diedrich Creek at the foot of Gerhardt Spur and carries on up to the biv. 2/From Cedar Flat take the Squall Peak track, also recently trimmed by volunteers, traverse Squall Peak and Jumble Top then drop down to the biv.
