Scottys biv

A seldom walked to biv in a nice spot in the head basin of Scottys Creek a Taipo River tributary. The biv is about 20 minutes below and east of Scottys Saddle.

Looking south from the biv you get a great view of the northern faces of Mt Tara Tama (1845m)

There is a track to the tops from opposite the old Seven Mile hut site on the Taipo River. A traverse of the tops will then get you to the biv. There are also routes from Griffin Creek, Rocky Creek, Dunns Creek & Newton Creek huts. More detailed information is available at the Permolat site.
