Getting there

From the Rotomanu-Bell Hill Rd you take the old Kopara forestry road which turns off just Nth of Puzzle Creek. It looks like a farm road & there is a gate at the start. Drive to a parking spot where the Crooked River bridge has been washed out. The track starts here and follows up the TL of Crooked R. It took us 4hrs walking up to Jacko Flat hut and then another 2hrs on to Top Crooked hut. Across the river from Top Crooked hut a track gives access to the renowned Lake Morgan tops. |
