Getting there
|
Through Brooker's farm Maruia Valley. (private property, permission required) Either down a farm vehicle track following the Maruia River to Wheel Creek then up a marked route to the hut or up an old stock track on to Creighton Peak then north along the range to Waitahu Saddle then drop down to the hut. I see in the hut book that sometimes this hut is accessed from Kirwans hut by following the bush & tussock ridge NE from Kirwans Hill to Waitahu Saddle then dropping down to the hut. |
