Top Maropea Hut
Ruahine Forest Park
A gem of an old NZFS hut built in the 60s or 70s for deer cullers, this hut is a bit drafty, however, lovely. Westerlies rip through the area, but it offers stunning views to the east of the Ruahines. Recently repainted, it stands out from the podocarp forest beautifully.
