Lower Princhester Hut / Princhester Base Hut

Lower Princhester Hut (6-bunk, stove, stream water) is a roadend hut in the northern Takitimu's. Given its roadend location it is not surprising that DOC have it marked as 'This hut is planned to be moved to another location'. You might be advised to check with DOC if it's still here.

The location is a little damp in permanent shelter from trees, but it's a nice enough 6-bunk, one room hut. A handy place for those like me who make the long drive after work for an early start in the morning to head into the Takitimus.
