Smith Creek Shelter
Tararua Forest Park
A small concrete block shelter on Smith Creek at the end of the descent from Puffer Saddle for those crossing from Kaitoke. The shelter lies on the track from Kaitoke to Tutawai Hut.
DOC state 'The shelter is not suitable for overnight stays' and they're right. It's not suitable for lunch either.
