Hidden Falls Hut
Fiordland National Park
Hidden Falls Hut (12 bunk, stove, firewood available) is a serviced hut about 1.5-2.5 hours from the Hollyford roadend on the Hollyford Valley floor. The hut is the first public hut on the Hollyford Track (the nearby Sunshine Hut is private and used by The Hollyford Track company). Hidden Falls makes a good first night for those driving in after work, as the track is very clear from the road and can be followed at night reasonably easily.
The tracks up the Hollyford are well maintained and of Great Walk Standard, though this is not an official Great Walk, and the huts are of 'serviced' standard and cost.
Possible onward routes include the easy Hollyford Track to Martins Bay, or the more difficult Pyke-Hollyford circuit (route-finding required).
Note that while Moir's Guide does discuss difficult routes past the falls to the Hidden Falls valley, the more usual route to the upper valley is from the North Routeburn.
