This route leads you from the Ellis Hut to the western side of South Twin. It is a very exciting walk through some spectacular scenery. Around 30 mins after leaving the hut you emerge on to the amazing Karst country under North Twin. The route then works it's way around the south side of North and South Twin climbing gently to intercept Paddy Ridge at the 1450m contour. Shortly after commencing the climb up Paddy Ridge there is a reliable water supply from a tarn on the eastern side of the ridge. It takes around 3hr 30 min from Ellis hut to the top of South Twin with its uninterrupted views.
