This route leads from the Ellis Hut to the west side of South Twin. It's an exciting walk through some spectacular scenery.

30 mins after leaving the hut you emerge on to the amazing Karst country under North Twin. The route then works its way to the south of North and South Twin climbing gently to intercept Paddy Ridge at the 1450m contour.

Shortly after commencing the climb up Paddy Ridge there is a reliable water supply from a tarn on the eastern side of the ridge.

3hr 30 min from Ellis Hut to the top of South Twin with its uninterrupted views.
