Scott Creek Hut (removed)
Hut has been removed (2010?). Details below for old-time's sake ...
Scott Creek Hut (4 beds, fireplace, firewood available, creek water) is in very poor condition. It once slept 4, but the mattresses have been destroyed (presumably by rats) and the floor is knee deep in the damp, mouldering stuffing they once contained. The hut is structurally sound (i.e. has a roof and 4 walls) and could be used as an emergency shelter, but a great deal of cleaning effort would be required. As it stands, a tent on the good camping spot outside would be preferable.
As it stands, don't plan on staying at this hut unless it is as an emergency fallback, or in a tent.
