Watlings Track forms part of a rich network of tracks in Ohinetahi Reserve. Dropping from the Summit Road and Crater Rim Walkway, between bluffs and into forest, the track leads down a rocky gully of ferns, māhoe, and large old broadleafs past the Duke Street Track, to finish up on South Boundary.
From here, you could turn right along South Boundary, and right again to return to the Summit Road along the steeper Bush Road Track.
