Standfield Hut (6 bunks, woodburing stove, tank water, firewood available in locality) is a comfortable riverside hut on the upper reaches of the Tamaki River, west branch.

Access via the ridge track is possible in almost all weather conditions - though river crossings are required at the roadend and 1km south of the hut.
