Getting there

1. From Kaimanawa Rd over Umukarikari is the most popular route. Approx 8 hours. 2.Also you can come in over Urchin and up the Waipakahi River. 3. Thirdly you can come in all the way up the river from Kaimanawa Rd. All routes from the East cross private land and require a permit. - North of the Mangimingi - from East Taupo Lands Block (Tongariro Aviation) - South of the Mangamingi - from Helisika. |
