Green Lake Hut
Fiordland National Park
Brand new hut that replaces the older hut (it still exists about 1km away as an alternative in case the new one is full). Good wood/coal-burner and when I was there (a week after the official opening) there were a couple of sacks of coal. Big windows, lots of space and beautiful sourroundings.

Getting there

A long walk in from Lake Monowai car park through bush. Very muddy in places and very steep after the pass but well worth it. Alternative track from Borland road but I don't know this one. |
