Pakihi Hut, Uratawa
Urutawa Conservation Area
Six bunks with new fireproof mattresses, stream water and river nearby. Easy walk (around 10km from the road end) in a beautiful day.
It has now become much more popular after the track was upgraded as part of the NZ cycle trail network. Mountain bikers regularly ride the Motu track and then drop down into the Pakihi Hut for just over 20km of spectacular single track.
