Remember to keep to the right as you climb up from the second chairlift at Whakapapa. Crater lake and Dome shelter are fascinating and well worth the climb. Took us about 3 hours to climb but we lost the route on the way up. | |

Walked from Turoa skifield to the summit. Easy walk in summer with fantastic views from the top. |
