We walked from the roadend to Waihaha hut, stayed the night, and walked out. Take your own lighting/candles as there aren't many candles in the hut! Pretty easy, but a bit boring walk as it's mostly flat terrain and you're in the valley so no views. You get some nice outlooks over the river and the last bit of forest before Waihaha hut is quite beautiful. Good track for an easy overnight tramp. | |
