I walked from the Brook Street entrance below the motor camp to the summit of Dun Mountain & back in 7¼hrs including stops. (30+ km's) Some of the engineering aspects of the railway formation, old hut sites, interpretation panels & the mineral belt were interesting. Good views from above the bushline too! Met lots of mountain bikers & one jogger between Nelson & Coppermine Saddle but surprisingly no other trampers on a sunny Sunday. | |

Lots of cyclists now the track has been repurposed as the Dun Mountain Cycle Trail. Fascinating area, but tedious track. | |
