Kelly Creek "impassable" detour around the gorge is actually quite passable. Find track from river. Go up to the top of the first slip and sidle over the second section back to the track. The valley is a mess though! | |

Walked in the reverse direction described - up Kellys Creek to Hunts Creek Hut first day, then out over the tops. Real mission and a huge bush-bash to get up to the scrubline from the upper tarn (couldn't find the track) but all up a pretty good trip! |
