The 42 Traverse has been reopened with a bypass track in place for walkers and cyclists. The end to end experience is still closed to 4WD and quad bikes users. 

Signs have been installed at all major intersections. The bypass (shown in orange on the track map) follows an old bush track and connects with Top Track.

Cyclists should dismount their bikes for the bypass section as it is steep and slippery.

Note: The route across the slip is still closed due to safety concerns.
