For	Hacket Hut
Alert	Pest control exercise for Te Hoiere/ Pelorus Valley A pest control operation primarily targetting goats and pigs is planned from mid-May to late June 2023 in the Te Hoiere/Pelorus River catchment area. See a map of the area (JPG, 130K) We recommend you stay on the track within these areas during of this operation. This operation uses aerial shooting from a helicopter and ground hunting teams with indicator dogs. Visitors to the area may experience helicopter and gunshot noise. A smaller area near Pelorus Bridge will focus on deer, goats and pigs but will only use ground hunting with indicator dogs. First published on 12 May 2023.
